Southampton have confirmed season ticket information for the 2026/27 Championship, with a price increase of five per cent on most tickets. The club's supporters can secure their seats starting today, with renewals saving up to £40 compared to brand-new purchasers. Adult prices for season tickets for renewals at St Mary's will start at £478, up from £455 last season, working out at just over £20 per match. The increased costs, thought to be more than five per cent, due to the minimum wage, suppliers and other costs, have forced the club to increase prices. A Northam Stand ticket also comes in at just under £500, while the most expensive ticket, a halfway line seat, is priced at £827 to renew. Discounted prices are available for 65 and overs, 18-25s, under-18s and under-14s, with an Under-14s season ticket just £75 to renew in the Kids Zone. The club has worked hard to absorb the increases as much as possible to protect supporters and will continue to do so wherever they can. However, to ensure they can maintain standards across the club and continue investing in the team and supporter experience, a modest increase in season ticket prices is unfortunately unavoidable this year. The 2026/27 price represents a 13 per cent reduction on the lowest adult season ticket price from the 2016/17 season, albeit in the Premier League. The club has also weighed up the introduction of new Squad Cost Ratio Rules, which directly limit spending on the football team to a percentage of revenue. Clubs in the Premier League and Championship are restricted to spending 85 per cent of the club's revenue on players, staff, wages and agent fees. Season ticket key dates include Wednesday, June 17, when season tickets go on sale, and Thursday, June 25, which is the deadline for supporters wishing to take advantage of the split payment plan. The full 2026/27 Championship fixture list will be announced on Thursday, June 25, at 12pm. Southampton's manager and players are looking forward to the new season, and the club is committed to taking a measured and responsible approach to pricing. In recent seasons, the club has taken steps to support supporters wherever possible with price freezes and reductions in three of the last four years. This year's adjustment reflects the ongoing balance between affordability for supporters and the financial realities of running the club. The club's statement said: Everyone at the club is looking forward to putting last season behind us and rallying together to make this season one to remember. As a season ticket holder, you help St Mary’s feel alive on match day through your loyalty and passion, and we can’t wait for you to be here with us again. As with many clubs and businesses, we continue to face rapidly rising operating costs across a number of areas. In the year ahead, increases in the National Minimum Wage, supplier pricing, energy costs, policing and the ongoing maintenance required at St Mary’s are expected to add around £1m to the club’s cost base, with further uncertainty expected. All personal assistant season tickets are free. The same concessionary bands apply with a new under-14s ticket in the Kids Zone costing just £80. Adult prices for a new season ticket start at £510 for a corner seat, with a Northam Stand ticket priced at £531. The most expensive ticket is £883. Southampton are committed to maintaining standards across the club and continuing to invest in the team and supporter experience. The club's fans are eagerly awaiting the new season, and the team is ready to take on the challenges of the 2026/27 Championship.
