Southampton FC have renewed their long-standing partnership with Peter Cooper Motor Group for the 2026/27 season. The agreement extends a commercial relationship that has lasted more than a quarter of a century and continues the company's role as a Regional Partner of the club.

Phil Parsons, the Southampton CEO, welcomed the continuation of a key local alliance. "We’re delighted that Peter Cooper Motor Group are continuing as a partner of Southampton Football Club," he said. The deal includes support for the Saints Foundation for a sixth consecutive year and covers a range of fan engagement events, player initiatives and community projects across Southampton and the surrounding area.

A lasting business relationship

Darren Cooper, Managing Director of Peter Cooper Motor Group, highlighted the significance of the partnership to his own business. "We’re incredibly proud to be renewing our partnership with Southampton Football Club and to continue a relationship that has been such an important part of our business for more than 20 years," he said. The motor group, which has been associated with Volkswagen for over four decades and now also represents brands including Kia and Jeep, has been a constant presence at St Mary's through multiple chapters of the club's history.

The renewal provides off-field stability as the team continues its Championship campaign. Southampton currently sit 8th in the league table with 17 points from 11 games, a position built on a recent run of three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five outings. The team's next fixture is a trip to face Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday, October 7th. The club's community work, supported by partnerships like this one, runs alongside the competitive push for points on the pitch. The team's form, with three wins and a draw from their last five matches, has seen them score 21 goals and concede just 10 this season, giving them a goal difference of plus 11. Their most recent result was a 0-0 draw with Bolton on Saturday 17 October, following a 1-0 win at Norwich three days earlier where Kuryu Matsuki scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute. Top scorer C. Larin, with 7 goals in 11 appearances, has been a key part of their attacking threat. The squad now looks ahead to their next fixture, away to West Ham on Saturday 24 October.

This long-term sponsorship shows the deep-rooted connections between the football club and local businesses in the region. The partnership will see the Peter Cooper Motor Group branding remain visible around the stadium and in club communications throughout the 2026/27 season.
