Southampton's ticket information for the away game at Sheffield United has been announced. The team has been given tickets for the Championship match at Bramall Lane on a Tuesday in November, with an evening kick-off. The club currently sits 8th in the Championship on 17 points, having recorded six wins, three draws and two losses from their opening 11 games.

Ticket purchases for the game will be staggered according to fans' previous away game attendance. The first sales period starts today for season ticket holders from the current season who have been to many away games across the last two seasons.

Access will then reduce in steps over the following days. Supporters who have attended a significant number of away matches can buy from a Friday, with the requirement lowering to a smaller number of matches the next Monday. Those who have been to at least one away match can buy from a Wednesday. Any tickets left will go on sale to all season ticket holders from a Thursday morning, with club members able to purchase from that afternoon, if any remain. The club has noted tickets may sell out during any sales phase.

Pricing and travel

Adult tickets cost a certain price. Concessions are available for older supporters and those with disabilities, for students and young adults, and for younger fans. Disabled supporters will pay the lower price between the concession rate and their age-based price. The allocated section includes wheelchair spaces with companion tickets, and this zone is now a safe-standing area. All tickets for this match will be physical and mailed out.

Official coach travel is offered for a fee, with a reduced price for season ticket holders. Coaches will leave from several locations in the afternoon.

The match occurs during a busy time for the team, who are in the top half of the Championship table. Their recent performances have been positive, with three wins and a draw from their last five matches, a run that includes a 1-0 victory at Norwich on Saturday 14 October and a 0-0 draw with Bolton on Saturday 17 October. Their next game is an away challenge against a high-placed team before the trip to Sheffield United later. That fixture sees them travel to face second-placed West Ham on Saturday 24 October. The team's top scorer this season is C. Larin with seven goals in 11 appearances. Fans can see the complete fixtures list on the club's website.
