Southampton Football Club has formed a new partnership with EIGHT Financial Advice for the current campaign. The Hampshire-based firm becomes the club's Official Financial Advice Partner for the 2026/27 season, a deal focused on community outreach and education.

Ian Riggs, CEO of EIGHT Financial Advice and founder of the EIGHT Foundation, expressed his pride in the link-up. "We’re incredibly proud to become Southampton Football Club’s Official Financial Advice Partner," he said. Riggs explained the partnership's core aim is to reach people who might not have considered financial advice before, using the club's community presence to break down the perception that such services are only for the wealthy.

Community and charitable focus

The collaboration extends beyond branding at St Mary's Stadium. It will see EIGHT connect with supporters through financial education activities and a 'Talk to EIGHT' campaign designed to make seeking advice feel more accessible. A key element is the creation of a close relationship between the EIGHT Foundation and the Saints Foundation, the club's charitable arm. The two foundations will work together on local projects supporting children, young people and families in need across the Southampton area.

Greg Baker, Chief Revenue Officer at Southampton FC, welcomed the alignment. "We’re delighted to welcome EIGHT as our Official Financial Advice Partner," Baker stated. He highlighted the firm's commitment to accessible financial education and the work of its foundation as a natural fit for the club's community values.

On-field context

The partnership news comes as Southampton prepare for a key home fixture against Portsmouth. The team currently sits 13th in the Championship table with 10 points from their opening eight matches. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws and one defeat from the last five outings. Fans can check the full upcoming fixtures schedule, including the highly anticipated derby, on the club site. The squad, featuring top scorer Cyle Larin who has netted seven times this season, will be looking to build momentum. Supporters can also view the latest squad information and standings as the season progresses.

The EIGHT Foundation, founded in 2017, is a grant-making charitable trust that supports smaller local causes in health, poverty and education, with the company matching every pound donated.
